Linear video coding

We study linear (conventional) video coding: codec design, rate–distortion optimization, and the integration of learned components into standardized pipelines. Topics include emerging codecs (VVC and beyond), hybrid neural/conventional schemes, and the practical question of how to deploy compression at the scale of real distribution networks.
