Why join the MM team?

We’re a young and growing team inside one of France’s top engineering schools, with strong industrial collaborations and a publication track at the leading machine learning, computer vision, and multimedia venues. We care about work that matters — frugal models that actually run on devices, compression that holds up in production, learning algorithms with proper foundations — and we value clean, reproducible code as much as we value the paper that wraps it.

You’ll work in Palaiseau on the Institut Polytechnique de Paris campus, with access to GPU infrastructure, an open and collaborative atmosphere, and the broader IP Paris ecosystem (Inria Saclay, École Polytechnique, ENSTA, ENSAE).

What we look for

How to apply

The most efficient path is to write directly to the faculty member whose research area matches yours (see the Team page). Please include:

  1. A short note (a few paragraphs) on what you’d like to work on and why
  2. Your CV
  3. Your transcripts (most recent first)
  4. A representative piece of work — a thesis, a project report, a code repository, anything that shows how you think

Generic application emails sent to multiple groups at once are easy to spot and rarely successful. Tailor your note.

Open positions

We don’t always advertise every position publicly. If you’re unsure whether there’s an opening that fits you, just ask — write to Enzo Tartaglione and we’ll point you to the right person.
